2016 April 27 th Rome Piazza Navona Robert McDuffie and friends play for Peter Pan

Robert McDuffie will be in Rome April 22nd to May 2nd, to announce the Rome Chamber Music Festival’s 13th season. The festival is delighted to welcome Mike Mills, from the iconic rock band R.E.M., to perform a version of Mike Mills: Concerto for Violin, Rock Band, and String Quintet, which he composed for Mr. McDuffie and will be premiering in Toronto this June. The festival program will feature more than 15 internationally renowned artists that will play alongside emerging musicians from the festival’s Young Artist Program. They will present classical and contemporary chamber music masterpieces as well as a staged presentation of Igor Stravinsky’s Histoire du soldat, directed by famed opera tenor and director, Enrico Stinchelli.
