Augusta Schubert
Bio
Born Honolulu, currently resident Waco, TX, at 4 Augusta began the violin. Currently pursuing bachelor’s degree in violin performance at McDuffie Center for Strings, she has acquired an extensive list of chamber music repertoire and has performed both solo and chamber works in over 25 states across the US.
She has won numerous awards and has participated in many summer festival programs: Tanglewood, Bowdoin, Oberlin, David Kim Institute, Cincinnati Conservatory.
At the McDuffie Center she has taken part in their many concerts and tours – her choice orchestral position is principal 2ndviolin. Active in both Waco and Macon communities, she plays at nursing homes, churches, and for the homeless. After college she wants to become member of a professional string quartet and an orchestra.
