Alessandro di Giulio has performed in the following recordings: “Carl Orff, Carmina Burana, Cantiones Profanae” with the Mavra Ensemble (Siae), “Rotativa per pianoforti e percussioni” by Giacinto Scelsi with the Ars Ludi Lab (Stradivarius) group, “”Living Room Music – John Cage – Il teatro Musicale” with the Ars Ludi Ensemble (Edizioni Dello Scompiglio), “John Cage Music for Piano and Percussion” with Giancarlo Simonacci and the Ars Ludi Ensemble (Brilliant Classic), “Alessandra Bellino, Gran Salto – opere strumentali” with Blow Up Percussion (EMA Vinci Records).
He has performed in the course of many international musical events such as: Cantiere Internazionale d’Arte di Montepulciano, Contemporanea at the Parco della Musica in Rome, the chamber music season at the De Doelen in Rotterdam, Emu-fest, the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Festa dell’Estate at the Deutsche Akademie Villa Massimo in Rome, Concerti Estivi of the American Academy in Rome, the Opera Barga Festival, Aperto Festival in Reggio Emilia, and Composit Rieti.
He is the founder of the Blow Up Percussion modular ensemble with which, as from 2011, he has performed many Italian and European premiers by composers of the likes of John Luther Adams, David Lang, Julia Wolfe, Elliot Cooper Cole, Eric Nathan, Paolo Marchettini or Francesco Filidei.
He has collaborated with: Ars Ludi Ensemble, P.M.C.E. (Parco della Musica Contemporanea Ensemble), Rome Sinfonietta Orchestra, the Orchestra of the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma, Orchestra Regionale del Molise, Orchestra Regionale della Calabria, Piccola Orchestra ‘900, Camerata Strumentale of Prato and the Orchestra Italiana del Cinema.
Currently he is professor of percussions at the I.C.3 Musical Institute of Frosinone.
