Rogerio Shieh, 23, is a young cellist who seeks to incorporate several different aspects of music into his playing. Currently, Rogerio Shieh is finishing his undergraduate studies in cello performance at the Robert McDuffie Center for Strings, where he studies with Julie Albers and Hans Jensen. Recently, Mr. Shieh has started studies in baroque cello and harpsichord as well.
A student of both piano and cello, he comes from São Paulo, Brazil and he has played frequently in recital and with orchestra throughout that state. He was first cello of the São Paulo State University Academic orchestra.
