Davide Pietro Soro
Bio
Davide Pietro Soro was born in Rome on July 12, 1997, and developed a passion for music from a young age, first studying the drums and then continuing with formal musical training.
In 2017, he graduated from the “Chris Cappell College” Music High School in Anzio and earned his degree in percussion instruments with top honors and distinction from the “Santa Cecilia” Conservatory in Rome, under the guidance of Maestro Antonio Caggiano.
In addition to attending numerous masterclasses with some of the most prominent Italian and European percussionists, a key part of his musical development was his studies at the Accademia Chigiana from 2020 to 2023, after which he became a member of the Chigiana Percussion Ensemble.
He has collaborated with various orchestras and percussion ensembles, including the Orchestra della Regione Toscana, PMCE (Parco della Musica Contemporanea Ensemble), Ars Ludi Ensemble, Europa InCanto Orchestra, “Fontane di Roma” Youth Orchestra, Nuova Consonanza, and IUC (Istituzione Universitaria dei Concerti). As of May 2024, he is the timpanist of the resident orchestra at the “Santa Cecilia” Conservatory in Rome.
He is currently enrolled in the two-year advanced program in chamber music at the “Santa Cecilia” Conservatory, studying under Maestro Roberto Galletto.
