At Paparazzo Bar & Rooftop at Le Méridien Visconti Rome, on June 10, an exclusive preview of the Rome Chamber Music Festival, featuring a special performance by Robert McDuffie.

Take three violins on a summer evening, led by the superb Maestro McDuffie, on a terrace straight out of a La Dolce Vita film set. Add a special cocktail inspired by the work of the famous Tartini, paired with creative delights for the palate.

This is how, in an evening suspended between dream and reality, we gently step into the magic of the Rome Chamber Music Festival: art and beauty will slowly guide us into the spirit and the rooms of this one-of-a-kind music event, which has made our Eternal City even more unique every June for the past 22 years.

To present the 22nd edition of this eagerly awaited and widely attended Roman festival, Le Méridien Visconti Rome, located at Via Federico Cesi 37, will host a concert on Tuesday, June 10, starting at 7:30 PM, on the stunning Bar & Rooftop terrace — a cocktail bar inspired by the 1960s and Dolce Vita aesthetics. On this special occasion, it will be the enchanting backdrop to the music of Robert McDuffie. The artist will first perform in a duet with violinist Livia Stefani, playing Mark O’Connor’s Appalachian Waltz. They will then be joined by Sebastian Zagame to form a captivating trio, performing Georg Philipp Telemann’s Concerto for Three Violins in F major, TWV 53:F1.

The evening, dedicated to the refined music of the superb American violinist, will also feature the culinary creations of Campania-born chef Giuseppe Gaglione, who will delight guests with a selection of finger foods — as always in his cuisine, a balance between meat and seafood options, incorporating ingredients from his native region as well as tributes to the city of Rome. In celebration of this new edition of the Festival, a signature cocktail will be offered exclusively on the evening of June 10: the “Doppio Tartini”, created by Bar Manager Edoardo Arcesi and inspired by the 17th-century Venetian musician Giuseppe Tartini. The drink combines Martini Riserva Speciale Ambrato, Bacardi Heritage, lime, roasted pineapple and star anise syrup, and egg white.

Paparazzo Bar&Rooftop

Inaugurated in early 2023, the Paparazzo Bar & Rooftop is the stunning cocktail bar on the 7th floor of Le Méridien Visconti Rome — a space that pays contemporary tribute to the eclectic style of the 1960s. Inspired by the iconic figure of the paparazzo, the celebrity photographer, the bar takes its name directly from the film La Dolce Vita, directed by one of the era’s most symbolic filmmakers, Federico Fellini.

The Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts brand was born in Paris in the 1960s and today includes 110 hotels and resorts across 30 countries. In Italy, Le Méridien Visconti Rome is the brand’s sole location, situated at 37 Via Federico Cesi in the heart of the Prati district. In September 2024, the hotel celebrated its 50th anniversary, inaugurating two new Iconic Suites inspired by the 1950s and 1960s for the occasion.

A timeless style defines the hotel, where the 2017 renovation preserved and enhanced 1950s modernism: clean, simple lines, along with materials such as marble and wood, blend harmoniously with colorful fabric textures. All this follows an artistic vision inspired, among others, by the work of renowned Italian architects and designers — including Gio Ponti.
