Mike Mills (R.E.M.) and Robert McDuffie record the “Concerto for violin and rock band”

Mike Mills, bassist with R.E.M., is in the process of composing a piece called Concerto for Violin and Rock Band for Robert McDuffie. Bobby and Mike have known each other since they were teenagers; they both grew up in Macon. Ultimately, Bobby and Mike want to take the composition on the road, performing with different symphonies. Mike has written two movements so far; one slow, the other fast, which Bobby, Mike and Center students recorded in Athens, GA, in October. Visit R.E.M. website for full article REMHQ.com.
