Amedeo Cicchese

Born in Campobasso, now 25, Amedeo graduated with honors at 17 from the “L. Perosi” conservatory. Achieving his Postgraduate Diploma in Chamber Music at the Accademia di Santa Cecilia in Rome with R. Filippini, he attended the Hochschule der Künste in Bern guided by A. Meneses and studied with E. Dindo and G. Sollima. Winner of the “Premio Trio di Trieste” and “V. Gui”, R. Muti chose him as principal cellist of the Cherubini Orchestra. Amedeo has worked with Muti, Abbado, Lonquich, Shambadal and Tan Dun, recorded for labels such as Brilliant Classics and Alfamusic and performed with the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra. He plays a Carlo Colombo Bruno cello (Turin, 1902).
