Daniel Stein

Bio

Daniel Stein is a rising senior at the McDuffie Center for Strings under the tutelage of Hans Jorgen Jensen and Sihao He. Previously, he studied in the US and abroad with such teachers as Richard Aaron, Leo Singer, and Rajan Krishnaswami. Daniel has played at King’s College, Cambridge and the Barbican in London, and was part of the Emmy-winning musical special “A Night of Georgia Music.”

He has also played for many of the great cellists and teachers in the United States (Ralph Kirshbaum, Clive Greensmith, Zuill Bailey, etc.) and currently performs on a German cello from 1870 loaned to him by the Carlsen Cello Foundation of Seattle.
