Bio

Diane, born South Korea, early studies age 6 Seoul Arts Center, moved New Zealand 2008. Student of Stephen Larsen, since 2016 at University of Aukland. Won Emerging Artist Prize in 2019 Michael Hill International Violin Competition, as well as 1st Prize in both 2019 National Concerto Competition and 2019 University of Auckland Concerto Competition. Won Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra Young Soloist of the Year Award for 2019 and winner of the Leading New Zealand String Player Award in the 2019 Gisborne International Music Competition. Has been soloist with the Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra, the Christchurch Symphony Orchestra and the University of Auckland Symphony Orchestra. As member of Korimako Piano Trio won expense paid tour of United Kingdom. Listed as casual player in the NZSO
