Gabriele Melone

Bio

Born in Isernia in 2003, Gabriele Melone began studying cello at age six. After studies with Rocco Filippini and Ilie Ionescu, he earned his bachelor’s degree at the Domenico Cimarosa Conservatory of Music in Avellino with a grade of 110 cum laude. He graduated from the advanced course in chamber music with Carlo Fabiano as well as in cello with Giovanni Sollima from the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome.

Winner of numerous national and international competitions, Melone has performed in several prestigious theaters and festivals and participated in masterclasses with artists such as David Geringas, Enrico Dindo, and Enrico Bronzi.

He is now earning a master’s degree in cello at the Hochschule der Kunste Bern with David Eggert, concurrently in his second year of the Laurea Magistrale course at the Accademia di Imola Incontri col Maestro with Enrico Bronzi.
