Hanami Froom
Bio
Hanami is an 18-year-old Japanese American violinist currently studying at the Robert McDuffie Center for Strings at Mercer University in Macon, Georgia.
She was recently a winner of the International Soloist & Orchestra Concerto Competition as well as the Talent Summer International Competition in Brescia, Italy. She has also performed with renowned orchestras, including the Oregon Symphony, Savannah Philharmonic, MetroArts Orchestra, Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, Amadeus Chamber Orchestra, Portland Youth Philharmonic, Master Orchestra, Beaverton Symphony, Oregon Sinfonietta, and the Jewish Orchestra, many as a winner of their competitions. Hanami also triumphed at the state, division, and national levels of the Music Teachers National Association Competition for three consecutive years.
Additionally in summer of 2024, Hanami had the honor of being invited to the Aspen Music Festival to perform Prokofiev’s Sonata for Two Violins with her instructor, Robert McDuffie.
Her talent continues to shine on the international stage.
