Jesse Lu

Bio

Jesse Lu was born in Shanghai and began studying double bass at age seven. He is currently an artist diploma student at the McDuffie Centre for Strings at Mercer University in Macon, Georgia, where he studies with Daniel Tosky and Jeff Turner. Mr. Lu has performed on both sides of the Pacific Ocean as both an orchestra musician and chamber music artist in festival and in concert series settings. He has attended the Aspen Music Festival and the Domain Forget Music Festival, where he had the privilege to study with renowned teachers such as Paul Ellison, David Moore, and Ali Yazdanfar. He currently serves as a substitute artist with the Vancouver Symphony.
