Bio

Jessica Pickersgill of Victoria, BC, Canada is a junior at the Robert McDuffie Center for Strings where she studies with Rebecca Albers, assistant principal of the Minnesota Orchestra and Lawrence Dutton of the Emerson String Quartet. She began playing violin at the age of six, and by fourteen switched to viola studying with Kathryn Ranger. She has won numerous solo, duet and chamber music competitions including the Louis Shermann Concerto Competition. In 2010 she was awarded the coveted Greater Victoria Performing Arts Festival Roberto and Mary Woods Scholarship. She returns to the RCMF for the third time.
