Kathryn Fakeley
Bio
Canadian musician Kathryn Fakeley commenced her cello studies at the age of six. She has delighted audiences across Canada, the United States, Europe, and Africa.
Kathryn is currently pursuing her Bachelor’s Degree at the McDuffie Centre for Strings on a full tuition scholarship, under the esteemed guidance of Hans Jorgen Jensen, Sihao He, and Sydney Lee.
Her former teachers include John Kadz, Johanne Perron, and Janet Jushack. From 2018 to 2023, she was enrolled in the Advanced Performance Program at Mount Royal University’s Conservatory, accumulating experience as a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestra player, as well as through her participation in various provincial and national competitions. Kathryn has soloed with the Richmond Symphony Orchestra, Calgary Civic Symphony, Red Deer Symphony Orchestra, and Burman University Symphony Orchestra on multiple occasions.
