Bio

Luna Vigni, born 1998, graduated with honors from the Institute of Advanced Music Education R. Franci in Siena, under the guidance of Luciano, Tristaino at the age of seventeen. In June 2018 Ms. Vigni graduated with a master’s degree in music performance from the Conservatory of Italian Switzerland with honors and honorable mention under the guidance of M ° Andrea Oliva.

She is currently pursuing her master’s degree in arts and specialized performance at the school with M ° Felix Renngli. A versatile and passionate soloist, Ms. Vigni has won numerous prizes in national and international competitions such as Virtuoso Prize at the Mozarteum (Salzburg), Premio Crescendo (Florence), Riviera Etrusca Prize (Piombino), Premio Rovere d’Oro, Premio Venaria Reale (Torino), Rising Star 2018 at the Sir James Flute Festival (Weggis) among others. She has studied with Andrea Oliva (National Academy of Saint Cecilia, CSI Lugano), Sir James Galway, (Weggis Flute Academy, Villa Medici Giulini / Milan), F. Renngli (ISA, Wien), P. Gallois (Academy Chigiana/ Siena), G. Pretto (Fiesole Music School), and O.Tenerani (Baroque School Rossignolo). In 2016, she founded Duo Marilù with pianist Marianna Tongiorgi. Together they have participated in numerous national and international competitions such as Rovere d’Oro, Venaria Reale, Fiesole Music School Prize, and the Rospigliosi Competition. Recently she formed the Duo Image with Roman guitarist Francesco Dominici Buraccini. This year Ms. Vigni performed with the Orchestra of the Italian Switzerland and as a soloist at the opening concert of Maestro Sir James Galway with the Orchestra ArteViva (Milan).
