Massimiliano Favella

Bio

Born in 1993 in Rome, Massimiliano Favella began studying double bass at the Conservatorio Santa Cecilia under the guidance of Massimo Giorgi. He continued his studies at the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole under the direction of Alberto Bocini and at the Accademia Walter Stauffer with Franco Petracchi.

In 2019 Favella was admitted to the Master of Advanced Studies (MAS) program in Music Performance and Interpretation at the Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana in Lugano under Enrico Fagone. Favella received the degree in 2023, the same year he was admitted to the Hochschule der Künste in Bern.

Since 2021 Favella has held the position of first double bass with the Mannheimer Philharmoniker, and since 2023 he has collaborated as second double bass with the Kammer Philharmonie Graübunden.
