Noemi Chemali
Bio
Noemie Chemali, born Cleveland, Ohio, is an Artist Diploma student at the McDuffie Center for Strings where she studies with Rebecca Albers and Hsin-Yun Huang. She has an undergraduate degree from McGill University’s Schulich School of Music. She has participated in masterclasses with major violists as well as the Pacifica String Quartet. She was fellow at the Music Academy of the West and has attended the Sarasota Music Festival, Orford Music Festival, Scotia Festival of Music and the Lunenburg Academy of Music Performance. Noemie co-founded the Hildegarde Project bringing music by women composers to Montreal women’s shelters and was guest speaker at Classical Evolution/Revolution Conference in Santa Barbara, CA.
