Noemie Chemali, born Cleveland, Ohio, is an Artist Diploma student at the McDuffie Center for Strings where she studies with Rebecca Albers and Hsin-Yun Huang. She has an undergraduate degree from McGill University’s Schulich School of Music; has participated in masterclasses with major violists as well as the Pacifica String Quartet; was fellow at the Music Academy of the West; and has attended the Sarasota Music Festival, Orford Music Festival, Scotia Festival of Music and the Lunenburg Academy of Music Performance. Noemie co-founded the Hildegarde Project bringing music by women composers to Montreal women’s shelters and was guest speaker at Classical Evolution/Revolution Conference in Santa Barbara, CA.
