Reed Sarasua Tucker
Recently awarded the 2016 Robert McDuffie Scholarship, and a student of Kurt Muroki and Daniel Tosky at the McDuffie Center, Reed Sarasua Tucker began formal bass studies at age fourteen in Sarasota, Florida. He has appeared as soloist with the Venice Symphony and performed the Koussevitzky Double Bass Concerto with the Sarasota Orchestra. He has served as principal bassist of the Sarasota youth Orchestra and a member of the Venice Symphony and the Sarasota-based Jazz Juvenocracy, with which he has toured Europe. He has attended both the Perlman Music Program Summer Music School and the Winter Residency as a scholarship student.
