Sara Scanlon
Bio
Sara Scanlon developed her love of music and passion for playing cello at age four. She graduated from Juilliard’s Pre-College program and now studies at the McDuffie Center for Strings with Richard Aaron and Julie Albers. Sara has won several concerto competitions in her home state of Connecticut and has been featured on NPR’s From the Top and WQXR’s Young Artist Showcase. Sara has performed at Orford Musique’s Gala du Prix and with the Charleston Symphony. She also held a chamber music fellowship at the 2017 Aspen Music Festival and toured with the McDuffie Center for Strings faculty in 2018.
