Sofya Yuneeva

Sofya Yuneeva, mezzo-soprano, graduated in Baroque singing under Sara Mingardo (S. Cecilia Conservatory) and later specialized in Vivaldi’s repertoire with Gemma Bertagnolli at the Vivaldi Institute (Cini Foundation, Venice).

Her operatic debut was in Puccini’s Suor Angelica, conducted by Daniele Agiman at the Teatro Goldoni in Livorno.

Yuneeva is the founder and singer of the chamber group Compagnia Barocca, exploring the undiscovered seventeenth century Roman repertoire.

She has performed in festivals such as the Vivaldi Festival and Baroque Festival A. Stradella.

Additionally, she embraces contemporary music, collaborating with composers like Ivan Liuzzo, Mara Winter, and the Avidi Lumi group.

Yuneeva recently presented a recital with Nicola Pignatiello (theorbo) at the Oratorio del Gonfalone, Rome.
