Tomasz Sierant
Bio
Polish flutist Tomasz Sierant: born 1995, began music study 2008; immediately became successful in flute competitions; received music education in Poland, Belgium and Switzerland; studied with Urszula Janik, Carlos Bruneel and Felix Ranaglli. From performing with the Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester he moved on to the Warsaw Phiharmonic and became an academist in Opernhaus Zurich. Currently is principal flute in Robert Schumann Philharmonie Chemnitz. He has participated in international festivals in Europe and Asia. In 2019 he was soloist in Jolivet concerto with Kammerorchester Basel, won 3rd prize in International Dutch Flute Competition and participated in Carl Nielsen Competition. He appreciates the support of Hans and Evgenia Jutting Stiftung, and the BOG and Kiefer Hablitzel Prizes.
