Yansaneh Clayton

Bio

Cellist Yansaneh Clayton is a sophomore at the McDuffie Center for Strings, where he studies with Hans Jørgen Jensen and Brannon Cho. He has performed with ensembles including the New England Conservatory Youth Philharmonic Orchestra, the Harvard Baroque Chamber Orchestra, and the Westminster College Chamber Orchestra.

Clayton has collaborated with artists such as Amy Schwartz Moretti, Jaime Laredo, Sharon Robinson, Frances Rosario-Puleo, and Jordan Bak, and has appeared with the multi-Grammy-nominated ensemble A Far Cry, including a recent recording project with the group and violinist Midori.

A finalist or prizewinner in several competitions, he holds the Associateship and Licentiateship of the Royal Schools of Music with distinction. He will attend the Meadowmount School of Music this summer.
