Yekajielinna Lian

Bio

Yekajielinna Lian is a 20-year-old cellist from Vancouver, Canada, and a junior at the McDuffie Center for Strings. She was recently a winner of the Talent Summer International Competition in Brescia, Italy.

Lian has appeared as a soloist with ensembles including the Vancouver Academy of Music Symphony Orchestra, the Aldo Parisot Cello Ensemble, the Youth Musician Artist Association, and the Lord Byng Symphony Orchestra, frequently as a competition prizewinner. In addition to her performing career, she has organized numerous charity events, using music to support her community.

An engaged and collaborative musician, Lian enjoys working with fellow artists and exploring a wide range of musical styles. Her interests reflect a commitment to both artistic growth and meaningful connection through music.
