Matteo Mizera
Bio
A devoted chamber musician and orchestral player, Matteo Mizera performs in a wide range of styles from Baroque to contemporary. He is a member of the prize-winning Caravaggio Piano Quartet and has performed at notable festivals and music venues across Italy and abroad. He has attended masterclasses with top international violists and played with prestigious orchestras and renowned musicians including Kurt Masur, Simon Rattle, and Antonio Pappano.
Mizera holds a viola degree from the Conservatory of Santa Cecilia, a master’s degree in viola performance from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, and a master’s degree in chamber music with honors from the Conservatory of S. Cecilia.
A professor of chamber music at the Conservatory of Bari, Mizera is also pursuing a master’s degree in violin performance and apostgraduate certificate in the “theory and practice of chamber music formation.”
