Bio

Isaac King’s goal as a performer and educator is to bring to life the music of the past and the present and build up the future generations of music makers.

He first began performing at age six in his family’s string band playing classical, oldies, folk, musical, and fiddle music. He pursued his love of playing at Cairn University under Rachel Ku.

In 2021 King attended the National Orchestral Institute+Festival, cementing his love for orchestral repertoire. The next two summers he attended the National Repertory Orchestra (Breckenridge, Colorado), serving in 2023 as coprincipal and performing Mozart’s Sinfonia concertante on the final concert.

A performer in masterclasses with such artists as Midori, CJ Chiang, and Katherine Murdock,

King currently studies with Victoria Chiang

and Becca Albers

at the Robert McDuffie Center for Strings, where he is completing his Artist Diploma.
