Livia Stefani



Born in Perugia in 2001, Livia is currently studying in the class of Ilya Grubert in Conservatorium van Amsterdam. She previously graduated with honor and special mention at the Conservatorio Francesco Morlacchi in Perugia. She also studied with Zakhar Bron and Maurizio Sciarretta at the Zakhar Bron Akademie in Interlaken, Switzerland. Livia had masterclasses with Michael Frischenschlager, Stefano Pagliani and Marco Fornaciari. She performs regularly as a soloist and chamber musician, particularly devoting herself to the violin and piano and string quartet repertoire. She plays regularly in the Netherlands in duo with Radu Ratering. She is also first violin and founder of Hera Quartet, the string quartet active since 2022 already perfomed all over the Netherlands. In the upcoming season they will debut among others in Het Concertgebouw of Amsterdam. The Hera Quartet is currently studying with Dmitri Ferschtman in Conservatorium van Amsterdam. After being accepted in NSKA Academy they regularly have lesson with Marc Danel and masterclasses with Eberhald Feltz, Simone Gramaglia and Judith van Driel. In the summer 2023 they have been accepted in the Accademia Chgiana in Siena, Italy, where they had masterclass with Bruno Giuranna. At the age of 16 she made her debut as a soloist in Czech Republic with West Bohemian Symphony Orchestra. In July 2020 she played as a soloist at the Bibiena Theater in Mantua with “Orchestra Italiana d’Archi” conducted by Stefano Pagliani. Livia has won prizes in numerous national and international competition such as Grand Prize Virtuoso in Brussels, for which she could perform in the chamber music hall of Bozar, Center for Fine Arts. She played at the age of seventeen in the Carnegie Hall of New York, after winning the first prize in the American Protégé Competition. Among the prizes, Livia won in 2022 the first prize in the National Competiton “Città di Piove di Sacco”, in 2021 she won the first prize in “Città Murata” competition in Padua and in “Giovani Promesse Competition”, Messina. She was also a finalist in the “Matteo Candino” Award in Rome. Livia plays often as a member of orchestras, performing in prestigious halls in Italy and abroad. Among others she played with Webern Symphony Orchestra in the Großer Saal of Musikverein conducted by Kirill Petrenko. She has been part of Camerata Ducale Junior-(CDJ) in Vercelli, project created for italian young talents. After winning a scolarship offered by Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Perugia she has been invited to play as part of Orchestra da Camera di Perugia.
