Matteo Mizera
Viola

Matteo Mizera is a devoted chamber musician and orchestral player, experienced in a wide range of styles from Baroque to contemporary. He is a member of the prizewinning Caravaggio Piano Quartet and has performed at notable festivals and musical associations across Italy and abroad. He has attended masterclasses with top international violists and played with prestigious orchestras and renowned musicians including Kurt Masur, Simon Rattle, and Antonio Pappano. Matteo holds a degree in viola from the Conservatory of Santa Cecilia, a master’s degree in viola performance from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, and a master’s degree, with honors, in chamber music from the Santa Cecilia Conservatory.
Matteo is a professor of chamber music at the Conservatory of Bari and is pursuing a master’s degree in violin and a postgraduate certificate in the theory and practice of chamber music formation. Dedicated to excellence in all his endeavors, he strives to bring the joy of music to audiences and to inspire future generations through his teaching.
