Bio

After starting the study of the clarinet at the age of 9 and completing studies at Rumoi High School in Hokkaido in 2016, NANA EBATA gained recognition by winning the Excellence Award at the K Clarinet Competition in Japan in 2018. She later graduated from the prestigious Tokyo College of Music in 2020 under the guidance of masters Noboru Taga, István Kohán, Seiki Shinohe, and Kei Ito.

Her education further expanded through Masterclasses and courses conducted by Davide Bandieri, Sauro Berti (including bass clarinet), Fabrizio Meloni, and Paolo Beltramini.

Since 2021, she has been based in Italy, continuing her education with Ugo Gennarini at the National Conservatory of Santa Cecilia in Rome. She has also started her professional career, being the principal clarinet for Puccini’s “Tosca” with the Rome Symphony Orchestra directed by Isabella Ambrosini in 2022. In 2023, she performed with the basset horn in Mozart’s Requiem on behalf of the Italian Embassy in Lebanon and Congo, with the Young Musicians European Orchestra conducted by Maestro Paolo Olmi.

In both Tokyo and Rome, she delved into chamber music studies with Riki Yasuhara, Mari Nakano, Jyunji Inoue, Rosaria Clemente, and Barbara Ferrara.
She has amassed over 250,000 followers on social media.
