After starting clarinet at the age of nine and completing studies at Rumoi High School in Hokkaido, Nana Ebata won the Excellence Award at the K Clarinet Competition in Japan in 2018. She graduated from the Tokyo College of Music in 2020 under the guidance of Noboru Taga, István Kohán, Seiki Shinohe, and Kei Ito.

In 2022 she performed as principal clarinet for Puccini’s Tosca with the Rome Symphony Orchestra directed by Isabella Ambrosini and in 2023 performed on basset horn in Mozart’s Requiem with the Young Musicians European Orchestra on behalf of the Italian Embassy in Lebanon and Congo.

In both Tokyo and Rome, she delved into chamber music studies with Riki Yasuhara, Mari Nakano, Jyunji Inoue, Rosaria Clemente, and Barbara Ferrara.
